Statement Still Lifes

Use what you’ve learned about composition to design your own still life

September 2019

Make a still life that includes three related objects. Then, applying what you know about composition, create an interesting arrangement.

Select three objects that illustrate an idea when displayed together.
Consider space and perspective, and how the objects overlap one another as you arrange your still life.
Emphasize lighting, texture, and color to create a dynamic composition.
Use the medium of your choice.
